NEAR SPHERE - FAR SPHERE = ADDSee the example below:

RE/OD +1.00 / -0.50 x 90
LE/OS +1.00 / -0.50 x 90
NEAR
RE/OD +3.00 / -0.50 x 90
LE/OS +3.00 / -0.50 x 90
The ADD would be..NEAR SPHERE - FAR SPHERE = ADD
3.00 - 1.00 = +2.00
